So, I got my AOR under CEC and recently applied for a bridge open work permit. According to the estimated wait times, it will take around 20 days, but given the situation with the ongoing strike, and the fact that I applied so late, I have reasons to be sure that I will get my work permit 1-2 weeks after my visa and current post graduation work permit expires.
I don't want to overstay or anything, but, what do you guys recommend? Do i have to necessarily leave the country or there is a different way since it's only 1-2 weeks of "no status" time in Canada

And just in case you don't know what 'Implied Status' means, it means that
until a decision on your BOWP application has been made, you are legally
allowed to stay and work in Canada under the same conditions than your previous work permit.
Actually, CAN work under the same terms as the expiring work permit. That's what implied status means... Just don't leave the country until you get the new work permit, or you'll lose implied status.
