What can you use as proof of funds for a student visa?

I am very confused as the website doesn't really elaborate and I can't get through to the call centre. I am from the Bahamas and applying for a Canadian student visa to attend school in Jan.

Can you have more than one person provide you with financial support?

Do that have to be a parent or can it be any relative or person willing to sponsor?

Can you use statements from financial institutions besides banks? For example, my sister wants to provide $10,000.00 toward my education but her money is in a local teacher's credit union.

Can a local company act as a financial sponsor? My father has a company and would like to use the company's bank account documents to prove his financial state.

yes....as long as u have 4 months of bank statements

close relative/parents r preferred other relatives like uncle etc may or may not work.

credit union statement should be ok i believe ...

local company can sponsor u but then u need to add financial documents of that company like ITR etc to be safe.
