what are my chances of getting the visa

Hi all,

I am going to apply for student visa next week so i wanted to if there are any chances of rejection...

10th- 79%
12th(sci,maths)- 69%
got admission in seneca college for electronic engineering technology 3 years ontario advanced diploma
fees paid
gic paid
1 year gap between 12th and college(to be shown as ielts preparation ,etc as told by agent)

Why did ur consultant, suggest u to put 1 yr gap as time u took fr ielts preparation ? Wht was the real reason?

Mentioning u took 1 yr to prepare fr Ielts, shows ur language skills were poor earlier.

R u writing a SOP? Make sure to mention ur family ties in ur SOP

The real reason for the gap was that it took 4.5 months for new passport to come after I applied in Sept '14, then I the earliest available date for IELTS was 2 months later. Then I applied for admission in May intake but denied because of late application, and the last date of visa application was gone. So I decided to apply for Fall intake . So this all took almost 1 year.

The sop is done by the agent.

I got it on 6th day. So approximately 5-6 days.

In my case I don't trust these agents on doing my SOP. They will never have the personal touch and care I can show in explaining my profile.

I would suggest you to explain the reality (everyone knows the time span in getting legal docs and getting a date for an Ielts test). Doing this will just avoid the negativity (learning English for 1 yr) in your profile.

Btw the consultant did took all the specific dates like when I applied for passport, when I got it, same for IELTS. And in the sop they mentioned all of this except for the college admission denial for May Intake . I checked the final sop and I think it was perfect. However in the form, where we have to write what we did after 12, initially they wrote only IELTS preparation, then I asked him if we can write something more, then he wrote 'IELTS preparation and preparation for admission in college, study permit'
