wfe renewing indian passport

i will be marrying my wfe ( i am canadian) this coming march she is from india,,, she already has a passport which is set to expire... now when she renews it ,, should she renew it showing her old last name or her married one? will it make a difference in the Canadian visa application

She should renew it using whichever name she legally goes by. Will she renew it after the wedding? If so then I'd renew it with her new legal name. If she doesn't yet change her family name it shouldn't be a problem to have her maiden name on the passport and forms.

To avoid any confusion I decided not to legally change my name until my husband and I arrive in Canada.
