WES ECA results and equivalent study details in the EE application

Greetings all !

Could you spend few minutes to clarify my problem ? In my WES ECA I have the following statement "bachelor's and master's degree". In this case, which option should I choose in my EE form: "Master’s degree, or professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession" or "Bachelor’s degree OR a three or more year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute" ? I've got only one diploma with actual degree of "specialist" - 5 years of education in the university with written project as final exam.

I have done a 3 year MBA and am also aware of the fact that WES recognizes business studies in India as equivalent to master's degree in canada if it is a three (3) year MBA course.

My ECA clearly does not give any cognizance to Post Graduation Degree / Post Graduation Diploma; and treats it as a Bachelors Degree.

I have raised this issue with WES from the "contact-us" section. Hope they understand that I have a valid point.

But the IRCC states that the diploma or certificate has to be at least one year long ?! Is there something I don't understand ?!

If WES has given a Canadian Equivalency specifically mentioning 8 months Canadian PG diploma, maybe what you say is true. I'm not sure if IRCC will treat it as a diploma at all, and whether you will be able to claim points for Two or more certificates, diplomas & degrees.

Please write a mail to them and seek clarification.

Yes, WES gives 'one year post graduate diploma' for two year degree courses such as M.Com & MBA. You can try IQAS, however it is time consuming.

I have received my ICES documents. However I was wondering in which section should I put my below degree’s received as? Can i put my credentials as equal to that of Canadian masters degree equivalencies?
Credential1: 3 yrs bachelor’s degree
Credential2: 1yr masters degree

Appreciate response from seniors:
- I completed my ECA by WES and WES awarded me Canadian four years bachelor degree of my ACCA affiliate certificate which was completed on 2007.
- During the evaluation I didn’t submit my Cambridge O and A level certificate.
- O level completed in 2003 due to the admission requirement for CAT and ACCA.
- After completing ACCA in 2007, I completed my A Level in 2008 additionally.
Now can I updated my WES report by adding Cambridge A level certificate?
- Any chance that WES awarded me two or more certificate/ degree? One certificate based on A level and another based on ACCA?
