We are reviewing the results of your medical exam- Inland Spousal Sponsorship

hello everyone,

I am in a bit of a pickle here. I applied for inland spousal sponsorship on March 12, 2020.
On December 15th 2020 I saw my profile got updated under the medical section with "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam". however, I have never appeared for any medical exam for any application in the past. My application is stuck at this for the last 4 weeks. I tried to contact IRCC and they mentioned that I should just wait. however all the people around me who had a similar update got their medical request the next day.

I am getting a bit anxious. Has this happened with anyone in the past? please suggest me what can be done?
