Hi,

I worked and studied in the UK for 5 years. Then I came back to India in September, 2012.

I applied for a Canadian study permit in November 2013, was refused. Then I applied for a study permit in December, 2014 , was refused again. I have a hotel management degree from India and an MBA from UK. I have more than 8 years of work experience.

I have been accepted at Hospitality and Tourism Management (Graduate Certificate Course).

My study permit was refused on the following grounds:

Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications, previous studies, level of establishment, employment, gap in studies or your future prospects and plans.

I am reapplying for a study permit next week. Is there any chances of getting visa this time?

How can I explain gap in studies in my SOE?

Many thanks.

It really makes no sense to take a graduate certificate after an MBA. A graduate certificate is a much lower level of education than an MBA. You should be taking a post graduate diploma at a minimum.

I don't think there is any point reapplying for the graduate certificate. I think you'll just be refused again.

As stated above, your course is not appropriate considering you already have a MBA.

Will it be easier if I apply for a masters in Australia?

what about Licensed practical nurse (2 years) if I already have a physiotherapy degree (4 years)?

I am already in Canada doing Open studies, will be an extension...

You think they can refuse regarding my previous education?

Thank you

For the VO - when they see someone who wants to go to Canada to get a certificate when they're already experienced in that field/ has a MBA - it doesn't make much sense.

What's the end game for you in this if you could study in Canada? Go back to India after your certificate or try to work/stay in Canada?
