Respected all,
i am a indian student.
i had completed my BTech in Electronics and Communication in 2010.then after i have three yrs work exp.
Now i want to settle in canada.which path will i take for it?
As a Student Visa chance of getting visa is more but after it chance of getting PR is how much i dont know.
As a direct PR visa can i get it within 1 yr?
i don't know which course should i have to take for study in canada?
how many indian rupees do i need for study?
can i earn money while studing for tution fees amount?
i am a middle class family student.
can i opt for 1 yr program there for spending less money on education?
after study can i settle there if am chossong 1 yr program?
can i bring my spouse with me during study visa?
please guide me.....
* You cannot get a direct PR visa, in fact I don't think there is any such visa for working professionals. You will have to first get a work visa and then get a PR after getting in Canada.
* Chances of getting PR after student visa are high. Just look at all other Indians around you who went there... did they came back after studies? Lol NO! You will eventually find a provincial PR program after completing your studies. Just don't take it as 100% sure.
* You can either opt to study post graduate level diploma at a college in Canada or you can opt for Master's degree at a University. Colleges are cheaper than Universities. Average fees are $15000 for college and $25-30000 for Universities. Though Grad level programs at Universities are cheaper than Undergrad programs. If you have great scores in B.tech ....you may get a scholarship as well from uni's but scholarships are almost negligible in colleges. As for value of education UNI > College.
* You cannot earn enough while working odd jobs to pay for your tuition fees! You can expect to earn $5000-1000 annually if you happen to find a job.
* Initially you will need around Rs. 15-20 lac for studying in a college for the first year or if you choose a one year course at a college under SPP. However, you have to show even more funds under general or University category.
* You can opt for a one year program at a college.
* You will get a Post Graduation Work Permit ( PGWP ) after completing your studies there. 1 year program = 1 year PGWP, 2 or more year studies = 3 year PGWP. Now, during that PGWP period you will hunt for jobs and look for suitable PR programs.
* You can apply for your spouse as your dependent ( I don't know the correct term for that) when you apply for YOUR student visa.
*For your selection of Course...you will have to do your own research.
* Don't rely 100% on Education Abroad Consultants/Agents, always do your own research before doing anything even if you do take their assistance.
* For starters, start your research from www.cic.gc.ca
