Waiting on DM

Just looking to see if anyone else is in our shoes. We filed inland via family sponsorship in March 2013....we have everything SA...AIP...OWP.....all fees have been paid, medical exams done, police clearance from Canada and Jamaica done.....our lawyer says the Etobicoke CIC office is so beyond and thats what taking so long to get DM. Its been over 27 months now.....its an insane amount of time!

If your file is with the Etobicoke office - none of us are going to be able to guess how long it's going to take. The Etobicoke office is where file are typically sent when there are some kind of concerns with the application. It's a bit of a black hole unfortunately. Typically all you're guaranteed is that your application is going to take longer than normal to process if it's been routed there. At least you have AIP - much worse to be transferred to Etobicoke without AIP (then you know they have concerns with your application). So that at least is good news...
