Waiting for cec- physical exams, what if pregnant

Hi everyone,

My husband and I applied for cec in nov, 2012， now we are waiting for the physical exams. Currently, we have valid work permit until June 2014. We plan to have baby （born in Canada) while we are waiting. We are wondering will the baby be canadian right after she or he is born? Some ppl say the baby will not have the citizenship right away since the parents are neither permanent residence nor canadian. I am confused. Do not know which is true, could someone who had this kind of experience share their experience?

Baby if born in Canada then he/she is right away Born Canadian Citizen.Parents status does not matter when a child is born in Canada...good luck

Agree with both the comments. The Baby will be a Canadian citizen.
