Waiting for BOWP, wanting to leave

Hi all,

I am in the May AOR group for express entry. My current work visa expired last week, but I have applied for bridging open work permit before it expired to get implied status.

Unfortunately, I need to go away on a business trip to USA later this month but my bridging work permit hasn't been approved yet.

Is there a way to speed up the bridging work permit? Or can I be issued a bridging work permit at the border when I return to Canada?

If you leave prior to BOWP being issued you lose implied status to work. No BOWPs cannot be issued at the border on re-entry.

No and no.
If you leave, you may be allowed back in but you lose implied status and can no longer work until you get your new permit.
