Waiting 6 months after file No .

Dear brothers
I got file No. 6 months ago I live in Saudi Arabia & I submitted my papers thru an office in Dubai to Nova Scotia
My status has one line only that we received your paper since Auguest 2014
& no further information ( in process)
Is that normal
Please help

There are some 100 applicants on this forum (out of ~6200 applicants/entries) whose applications were received in Aug 2014 or earlier but process hasn't been started yet. I based on the global spreadsheet after removing those who don't update in 2015. So this means a case like yours happens but belongs to the minority I would say. You may want to contact your visa office or open an GCMS case to get to know the details.

Same situation friends ..its been more than 8 months after getting file number ...nothing heard yet ..

Same here but I did not get the file number or anything!
