Hi guys
My friend is working on pg Wp at $12.50 per hour. Her employer got LMO approved now at $12. Called HRDC and they said on new Wp she has to work at $12. Now in this case what can she tell CIC in CEC application that wages reduced? Wouldnt immigration doubt this? Really confused here. Pl help
Eventhough the LMO was approved at $12 that doesn't mean that the employer has to reduce her wages, how ignorant and what a rip off. lol. Maybe your friend should talk to the employer about that. I feel bad for her.
Now seriously speaking, how much wages she made or is making isn't part of the eligibility requirement of CIC for the CEC stream. And I have not heard of anyone being asked about their wages.
No they do not or at least I haven't heard of anyone that's been asked to do that. I have a lot of friends who applied under CEC. If anything the officer will compare the pay stub with how many hours she worked, If I am not mistaken minimum 37.5 hours a week.
Imagine it this way, if an employer has to follow what is on the work permit only, does that mean that an employee can not get a raise?
My point is $12 dollars is the minimum amount the employer should pay the employee based on that occupation. It doesn't mean that the employer can only pay that.
I have had skilled working permits before and luckily my old employer liked giving raises if you do a good job, didn't have any problem.
