After applying my study permit Extension before expiration my refusal letter gave me reason that I applied for a study permit Extension application after it has expired. They also gave me a voluntary departure. I have given a reconsideration request which they received and haven't processed yet. If I leave Canada after dropping my courses. How do I return and resume my Studies? How to I obtain a new study permit from outside Canada for half complete study program?

So when did your permit expire? When did you apply for extension?

So you applied before expiry. Given you have a voluntary departure roder and can no longer study, seek the advice of an immigration lawyer.

If your study permit extension application was refused because it was submitted after the expiration of your original study permit, and you have left Canada, you will need to apply for a new study permit in order to return and resume your studies. You will also need to provide a copy of your previous study permit and any related documents, such as your previous study permit extension application and the refusal letter.

If the reconsideration request is approved, you may be able to return to Canada and resume your studies without having to apply for a new study permit. You cannot just get a study permit at the border. You need to apply for a study permit and be approved. Cohen Immigration moderates the forum so click on their link at the top of the page. They are immigration lawyers.

Just clarifying the dates because if you applied for the extension before your study permit expired and you were actively studying full-time in your program the extension should have been approved. Did IRCC make an error and did you apply for the extension before your permit expires while you were studying full-time? If so you should be asking for reconsideration. Are you still studying full-time? If not when did you stop?
