Hi all!

I sent my application for a study permit to the Rome VO on May 10th and have received no notification. I also have no means of communication with them as they use a "no individual inquiries" and "no direct calls" policy. It's more than a month now and I'm starting to get a bit nervous. I know that it may sound like a short while to wait but my supervisor asked me to start research work with her in August and, therefore, I would have to move to Canada in July. Do you have any feedback on this?

I am from Greece, and have been accepted to the University of Victoria (British Columbia) for a PhD degree in Computer Science.

Thank you!

Eirini

As the average visa processing time of the mentioned office is 30 working days, you should get the reply within a week

However if you get more delays then you are eligible to inquire using case specific enquiry here: https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=rome

Thank you for the response!

I thought it was just 30 days, not working, rookie mistake ::)

As for the case-specific inquiry, I tried it and once I submitted the form there was a message saying they would reply within 28 working days. They must be one of the most inaccessible visa offices in the world.

Thanks again!

Hi eirini, have you got a reply from rome yet?we came from greece to british columbia a year now and we are still waiting for my wifes pr card.
good luck
