vistor visa extension

hello.
I am going to my visitor status soon and have some kinda big problem.

I checked out my passport and found out I do not have stamp on my passport, as matter of fact, think the border office at the airport did not swipe my passport .
so I contacted and requested my record to Border service Canada , according to their letter they do not have my passport record.


My concern is it would be problem to renew my visitor status( I am outland applicant and going to ask one year extension)

I have asked a friend about this, she said if you still have your boarding pass you can use that as proof of when you entered Canada. As well any luggage tags, receipt for if you bought something on the plane.

She said sometimes they will accept the plane ticket, but a plane ticket doesn't prove that you were actually on the plane.

I phoned CIC, the agent also said I should send photocopy of my plane ticket and a letter explains the situation.
