Hi all,
I'm applying a visitor's visa for my mother in-law. Immigration Canada has rejected twice. the first time, they gave us 3 reasons which is travel history, reason of visit and financial support. They did not believe that she will leave Canada. At the same time, I also applied for my father in-law in separated application with the same document and he got the visa.
And the second time, I make a mistake by not checking Yes at question 2(b) in form imm5257. The question is about if she has been refused a visa to enter to Canada before.
So my questions are:
-I wonder about the 3 reasons at the first application, I have the same document. My guess is because I applied for both of them, that why they refused her. Do I need to change those documents ?
-I wonder If the second application may affect my next application ? Because I intent to apply again after correcting the previous mistake.
I am wondering how much you showed for your financial? Her travel history should be listed since they asked for. Reason for visit, I think better you write an invitation letter for that purpose.

Thanks for the info. I am very lucky then. They said in the letter the message below. And did not mention any thing else.

I guess this is because they want to give us a chance since the visit is for visiting her daughter and grand son. So they let's it slide. Is it better for me to consult with a professional ?
when i apply my parent visitor visa, i wrote invitation letter but saying i will not responsible to the health insurance etc, but will cover the living.. and of course my parent have to proof at least some tight back home like house, and proof they have sufficient amount for visiting canda, they provide their pension statements and some flow in the bank.
I also apply study permit for two of my siblings, within 24 hours one got approved and one got rejected.. yet applied again still got rejected.. i did not go for the third trial cause i think it is hard to nailed it down. anyway the one rejected study locally and soon gonna graduate. I am hoping she is still allowed to visit Canada for tourism purposes.
