My Visitor's Visa for Canada was submitted in December of last year and is still pending.

Can anyone perhaps urgently assist?

have you raised a webform?
which country are you applying from, you may be able to reach out to the IRCC office processing your application via email.

what is your purpose of travel?

Processing is around 8 months for most applications and since you don’t live in country of citizenship then it will take longer. Google - IRCC webform
