My parents and brother would like to apply for Visitors visa to visit me. My brother will be planning to visit for 15 days and parents will be visiting for 2 months. My parents are retired and brother is working. My dad is doing farming after retirement. My brother is working. I am wondering if it creates any problem to get visa as all of them are applying at the same time. Can you please advise if my parents should apply first to show home ties. I heard of many stories that visitors visa got rejected so I am little concern for their visa.

My parents are providing their bank statement, notarized farm details, proof of asset, bank statement and my brother is providing HR letter from his company as well as bank statement, marriage certificate of my parents, birth certificate of brother and myself.

I am providing an invitation letter stating I am going to cover all their expenses till they are here and attaching bank statement and utility bill.

Are these documents enough. Am I missing something here? Thanks so much.

What is your immigration status?

Do you parent traveled to the developed countries? Your brother? If not that could be an issue but not necessary.
Also write a letter to VO showing the itinerary of the visit. Your brother is coming just for 2 weeks, what you are going to show him in Canada? Where to go? Where to travel? What friends of yours to meet?

I am permanent resident since 5 years. My parents didnt travel out of India. My brother went to United States last year on official visit. They are coming to meet me as I am not going this year. and yes I will take them to Rockies, banff, jasper. He is not planning to buy any flight tickets until he gets visa. Are you suggesting to get tickets?

No buying tickets till he gets his visa.

Your case sounds good. Describe everything in your cover letter to VO : that you went to visit them regularly but not this year, that's why you would like to invite them, they never been in Canada , never seen how you live here, that you are going to take them to Rockies and so on.

thanks Regina.
Do I need to explain in cover letter that they are just coming for 2 months and brother for 15 days. Also do I need to provide T4, Notice of Assessment and paystub or just bank statement is enough?

Its silly question but still I would like to clarify. Do they need to apply under Family (Visa fee $500) or they can apply individually (then it will cost $300). Another question is Do I need to send notarized letter of invitation?
