Visitor with a saved working holiday visa

Hi friends: I have a question, please a i need some help.

My context:

1.- Chilean citizen.
2.- Current status: Visitor visa ("passport on arrival visa") until mid december.
3.- During my first month i got my Working Holiday visa (i got the POE letter). In theory i have 1 year since July for to active the work permit.
4.- I haven't activated my work permit.
5.- After my arrival, I haven't exited from Canada.

My questions: Can i extend my visitor visa (online) and not lose my work permit (working holiday visa)? and then activate my working holiday visa?.

Yes. Remember that there is no guarantee that your visitor status will be renewed/extended.
