Visitor Visa while unemployed?

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck with CIC in obtaining a visitor visa while unemployed? I've had many successful interactions in the past. Had PR as a child, but parents later gave it up. Had visitor visa as a teen, Student visa for 5 years, Post Grad WP for 3 years.

I've only returned to my home country at the end of May, but was hoping to make a trip back for the summer to attend my friend/former roommate's wedding. I am unemployed though and living with my parents. POF isn't an issue so I am not worried about that. In addition, I received an ITA for PR last week, and although I have not submitted my docs as yet, was wondering if there's any chance I would be approved for a visitor visa. I know the odds are against me, but willing to still try my luck? Also, if I am declined, would this implicate future visa/PR applications?

Any thoughts or related experiences would greatly be appreciated.

Yes many people get it while unemployed.

It is a matter of showing you will exit Canada at the end of your visit.
