Me and my husband are travelling to Canada on 2 years work permit, we applied for our baby(1 and half year old) visitor visa.
Our plan is to take the baby once we settle in Canada(may be after few months), till then we are planned to leave her with her grand parents in India.
When we get our passports stamping, do we get it done for our baby also?
If so what would be valid period to get her to Canada?

You submit your baby's passport when her passport is requested only.
There is no timeframe to need to bring her into Canada, as she will only a temporary resident. She can enter any time until the expiry date printed in her visa.
It will be your responsibility to make sure her status in Canada remains legal. I am not so familiar with this kind of case, but I am inclined to believe that since you are on work permits, she will be allowed to have status in Canada that matches your validity period.
