Hi guys,
I am looking for any one who applied for a visitor visa for spouse under 'Covid category' for immediate family reunification.
I am looking for timeline of processing and timeline for visa stamping from the AbuDhabi Visa Office

My brother applied on Dec 7th, 2020. He got his authorization approved but no response on TRV as of now.
 
Any news? Did your brother mention Covid-19 category in his visa application?
Did you try and call customer care?

Unless your spouse has extremely strong proof that he will not remain in Canada he is likely to be denied. Although spouses of PRs and citizens have been allowed to travel most spouses still struggle to get TRVs.

50 days after applying. I called IRCC helpline and they said approval of travel exemption is totally independent from approval of TRV. In other words, approval of one doesn't guarantee or influence the approval of other.

Yeah he mentioned COVID-19 in application form. And we tried to call helpline too. They said you need to call Abu Dhabi Office as they can't see application status in Canada.
