My sister and her son (aged 12) applied for visitor visa on December 15 but got refusal letter yesterday saying officer is not convinced that they will return to India on completion of their visit. The decision was based on their travel history, current employment situation, personal assets and purpose of the visit.
Any advise from fellows how to proceed now? My sister just want to see her mother in Canada. If she apply for visitor visa alone, is there more chances to get visa approved?

You'll need to post more details:
1. How long did they want to visit? Purpose of visit apart from wanting to meet your mother?
2. Is your sister employed/business? Married? Does she own property or rent a place? Does she have a strong financial situation? Has she traveled to countries like the US, UK, Schengen, Australia, etc? Does she live with other family members who are dependent on her?
Thanks for reply. They were coming in Canada for a month. We did not mention any other purpose of visit in invitation letter. She is employed and married, lives with two children and husband. Has strong financial support. She never been to any country.
