Visitor Visa Processing Times from India / USA

Looking to apply for a visitor visa for my parents - Checking the IRCC site, it looks like the processing time is 250 days if applying from India and 74 days if applying from the USA. Anyone thats applied recently, can you please let me know if these processing times are accurate.

I applied for my fiancee on July 1, and the processing time was 90 days.

Its been 110 days and we still have no updates..

From India. What's more frustrating is that the visa offices are closed in India - so she cant even submit her biometrics.

Its been 110 days and we still have no updates..

I created this thread cos i saw someone from pakistan post their processing time and it was done in 45 days (started in Sep and wrapped up sometime around the first week of october) - Even though the IRCC website lists similar wait times for pakistan (around 200 days)

But the difference is - VFS have re-opened in Pakistan. They are still closed in India.

Oh, didn't know that... This is super annoying.. I guess then my only option is to have my mom fly into the usa and then apply from there

That's a good idea. But is USA allowing people on tourist visas to come in?

Yes, they are ... my colleagues spouse arrived from india a couple of months ago ... said she was let in no questions asked

Yrah thats an immediate family member. I am guessing that is H4 visa right? or Tourist visa?

Sorry, must've been clear... she came on a visitor visa (that she got before the marriage)

How do you apply online for visitor visa? I created account using gc key and it does not show any option to apply for visitor visa I can just see option to change pwd and security ques. Can someone please list the steps? Or have they closed it because of covid? I want to apply it for my parents
