I am currently living and working in India and I am getting married this September. My fiance is moving to Canada and is going to get his work permit in another month. I am planning to quit my work and move with him to Canada after marriage as soon as possibly can. We don't plan to return to Canada in another few years and I plan to work there after few months of settling in Canada. I realize that I have the following two options :
1. Obtain a visitor visa
2. Obtain an open work permit
Which visa should I apply for in order to ensure I move in with him as soon as possible? Also, are there chances of my visitor visa getting rejected since I plan to move there for more than 6 months? If I take the visitor visa route, what documents will I have to submit to ensure that my chances of getting a visitor visa are high. Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated!
