Can only assume it has something to do with the Canadian Gov Labour strikes back in April but as never get replies from web forms I'm not sure.
I did recently read a report that the IRCC were putting more of an automated system in place to get through the backlog (1.3million visit visa applications in system) but it only applied to applications submitted before 16th January.
I'm starting to think, unfortunately we are going to lose our planned trip next month due to no visa
