Just sharing below timeline for anyone who might find it useful:
- Visa Type: Temporary Resident Visa (Visitor) for retired mother.
- Visa Office: Ethiopia
GCkey website:
-Application submitted: June 12, 2023.
- Biometrics: Not required due to valid current bioemetrics
- Submission Confirmation Letter: June 12, 2023
No updates until September 6, 2023 where I received a correspondence letter stating that the Biometrics are valid until xxxx and below update
Final decision
Then I checked the other status portal: https://ircc-tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login where it shows eligibility is "Complete" and the Visitor Visa Details have been filled, thus confirming approval.
So, just waiting to get the PPR letter now. I believe the GCKey website updates every Thursday.
