Hi i have a couple questions regarding the online application. I am planning to apply for a multiple entry visa for my bf who is a jamaican resident. He is currently in trinidad for work. Can he get his medical and criminal checks done in trini or does he have to have them done in jamaica? Also, if the application is done online, is there also an interview that he would have to return to jamaica to do?

Interviews are rare. Most applications are processed without one. Just ensure your applications is clear and complete. To my knowledge, medicals aren't required for the typical visitor visas. Medicals are usually necessary if you plan to stay for six months or more in Canada. If PCC is required he would need them for both Jamaica and Trinidad provided he's been in Trinidad for more than six months. There is a process in Jamaica for obtaining your PCC if you are overseas.
Having said all that you can indicate where you would like your application to be processed at the start of the online process. If he would like the application to be processed in Trinidad he will need to show that he is living and working there legally.
