Visitor Visa for Indians from USA

I am Indian national living in USA for the past 3 years under work visa and have recently applied for my family's visitor visa for tourism purpose. I have submitted the online application on April 12th and still have not got any update except from submitted and read. I see it typically takes 30 days for the processing.

Is 30 days an expected time even if I apply from US?

Any info would be helpful.

The current estimated processing time for US application is 19 days. This, however, is only an estimate as actual processing time can be faster/take longer

Have you received any response yet? I have submitted application on 19th April and still have not received any response beyond "no additional doc required".

Hi,

I got an email for passport request on 1st May 2017. I have submitted the passport and other necessary documents along with the VAC charges.

I am just waiting for the passport now.
