Hello,

My brother would like to apply for Visitor visa from India. He has applied his student visa in Sept 2016. Again he applied his visitor visa in Mar 2018. Rejection both times.

He is working as a full time doctor in well known hospital in India. He has currently saving of 5,00,000 INR and some other assets such as LIC, PPF that's around total 19lacs INR (38,000 CAD). He has no property in india.

We lost our dad 4 years ago, and my mom has a USA green card and he is single. What are chances of having his visitor Visa approved? Can you please provide your insight into this?

Any Help is appreciated.

Does he have a lease, how long does he want to travel? How long has he been working at the hospital? Assume he isn’t married. Was he done his medical degree when he applied for a student permit? Why was he denied a visitor visa in 2018?

@canuck78

Thank you so much for your reply.

He has NOC certificate and vacation approval from his hospital. He want to travel for 21 days. We have prepared itinerary for him as well. He has been working with same hospital and same position since last 3 years. He just completed his MBBS when he was applied for student permit. He was denied a visitor visa for reason(s) such as Not able to convenience to visa officer that you will leave Canada within time frame, not enough family ties, not enough funds at that moment. I guess we show balance only for 7000 CAD.

Thank you.

You should certainly try but he doesn’t have a lot of ties to India. Does he have a lease or car payments? Something more to show be will return home?

@canuck78

He has car payment but he doesn't have any lease paper or anything strong, that more to show that he will be return to home since he is staying with my uncle. That's something non-modifiable one of thing we cannot change.

Sorry I forgot to mention earlier that he has a travel history in UAE, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

Is it mandatory to submit my lease paper in Canada?

Thank you so much for your quick response. I really appreciate.

His travel history doesn’t really help. You can include car ownership and assume he may have regular car payment in his bank statement. You are basically trying to gather any form of proof that shows that he will be returning. Property records or lease aren’t required but evidence that someone is more likely to return. Where is you4 mother currently living? He can also mention the fact that he is aware that most IMGsare never able to get licensed to practice medicine in Canada so he has no desire to move to Canada because he would like to continue practicing medicine. Would only add that if he doesn‘t I tend to move to Canada. The statements about being incredibly difficult for IMGs in Canada is true.

@canuck78

Thank you so much for your valuable insight. Certainly we will work on that. My mother living right now in India (i.e. 4 -5 months in India, and remainder in USA)

Just one more question do I have to submit lease paper for our rental condo? (i.e. from Host site just to be more clear).

Thank you so much.

No need to include. It is your brother’s situation that matters.
