Visitor Visa - Father name is different in my passport than name in his passport

Hi,

My father is applying for visitor visa and I'll be the sponsor.
His name on my passport is "Ashwani Sehgal". Ashwani is first name and Sehgal is Lest Name.

But on his Passport his name is mentioned as "Ashwani Kumar". Ashwani Kumar as First name and no Last name.

What can I do in this case? Is an affidavit would work?
