Visitor visa extension

My mom received a 5 year visitor's visa to Canada and she was supposed to stay for up to 6 months. Due to my circumstances, i applied for an extension of her stay. 3 months after the application, i received a letter asking her to do medical exams within 30 days. Then 3 days after we received instruction to do the medicals, I received a final decision extending her stay for another 6 months. I wanted to know if I still need to get the medical exams done.
