Visitor visa extension in canada

My wife did a visa extension back in January, 2018. Recently we found out her application was refused. (We never got any letter or email that said her application was refuse. We found out it was refuse when emailing with the IRCC agent) Should her re apply for the extension again ? Her visa expired more than 90days. Can she still apply an extension for her visa in canada?

We already submitted a PR application, and is processing now. If she leave the country, can she come back in?

Did you submit an application for a OWP with the inland spousal PR application? If you did, she has implied status until a decision is made on the OWP app. Although she does not need to have status to apply inland, technically there is a low possibility that CBSA would consider her as without status

We did not submit the OWP with the PR. So you mean she should be fine to stay in canada till the PR application decision is made?

We sent out the visitor visa extension in January, on April 8th, we got a letter from IRCC for medicial exam, due to some technical difficulty at the clinic, they cannot find her info in the E-medicial system. After we contact IRCC through the web form for a few times, we finally completed the medical exam in June. We inform IRCC an update of her application through the web form again, they replied us said that her application was refuse on April 8th. We were so confuse. The only email we got from the IRCC is the medicial exam form, we never got any mail or email about the refusal of her application. We try to ask them again, and they only told us her case are closed.

We also sumbit the PR application around end of March. The online status of the application is in process now.
