Visitor visa extension but parents already returned before decision

Hi Everyone,

My parents applied for Visitor visa, however they already returned to India and we haven't heard back about the extension. My question is, now my parents want to apply for visitor visa again, so what happens to this extension application? Do i have to inform them that they don't need it anymore?

You are supposed to advise IRCC that they left Canada and no longer need the extension to be processed.

Unfortunately, they have kept all their support lines closed. They do however, have a web form. Should I inform them through that?

I would raise a webform and simply say you are withdrawing the extension application and that it's no longer needed since your parents have left Canada.
