Visitor visa child

I am studying in Canada and my husband is also on open work permit in Canada. I have a two years old child living in India with his grandparents. He hold the visitor visa. Is it necessary to bring him here before applying for PGWP?

To bring the child to Canada before applying for a PGWP? I wouldn't think it's necessary, no.
