hi, i think what canuck is suggesting is that you are a bit confused about what she should be applying for to stay in canada as a visitor. what is your reasoning for applying for a TRP as opposed to simply applying to extend her stay as a visitor while her application processes? these are not one in the same.
Unfortunately, this will have little, if any, impact on being approved.
Not that it applies here, but for those that submit the application after the birth of their child, that have been together for less than two years (to the day) when the application is received by CIC, they avoid having conditional PR (Condition 51). The child, however, still doesn't prove to the officer that the relationship is genuine.

if you did apply to extend her stay as a visitor, then there is nothing more to do until you get a response for that. depending on how long of an extension they give her, she may need to apply again in the future. it's usually recommended for pr applicants to request 12+ month extensions so they don't have to keep renewing status. Since her current visa doesn't expire until November, then she has curent legal visitor status, and does not need to worry about being out of status right now.
to clarify, it sounds like you applied to extend her stay as a visitor. this does not mean you applied for a TRP or a TRV.

We are very exciting now because it just couple months away for our new born. So the baby is first priority. We didn't even go to our honeymoon yet so our plan is if the PR approved we will go to Iceland with our new born baby.
Again, a TRP is special permission for inadmissible people to come to Canada. If you applied for a TRP, you have not applied to extend her visitor status.

Yes, they should submit the OWP but I suggest they apply for a visitor extension as well to cover their bases, especially since OP has shown to have some misunderstandings about how these processes work.
