Visitor status to ITA while in Canada

Hello folks
I m in Canada right now on visitor record. I have enough score (479) to apply for EE.
My question is, can I apply for EE while my status in Canada is visitor?
-I have around 5 months of visitor record.
Please give me genuine advice.

You need to apply to extend your visitor status. Getting COPR after your ITA takes a long time. Do you have a profile submitted with all documentation ready to go.
