Visitor Record for Girlfriend as PGWP Holder

I would appreciate if someone can give me some advice on my situation.

Currently, I am holding post-graduate work permit and worked for half a year already. My girlfriend came to visit me with her visitor visa which only allowed her to stay for 6 months. I'm thinking apply for a visitor records so that she can stay longer here, what reasons should I state in the cover letter? We are thinking of getting common law partner relationship, can I say it directly in the cover letter?

We can’t tell you the reasons why you want them to stay longer ,only you can

However they have to show THEY can support themselves , and very few people can leave there homes to go to another country for six months , and just stay .

Shows a lack of ties for them to there country .
Most people have to go home for like there job , life responsibilities
