my mother is in Canada. she was approved for six months visa with single entry. i want to stay her longer with me. i am eligible for super visa too. because she is in Canada i am aware that i can not apply apply for super visa within canada. please advise as to the best option for me.
As your mom was approved for only a 6-months SEV TRV (and after three refusals if I remember correctly), the visa officer was not fully convinced that she intends to visit short-term.
While you can certainly apply for an extension to her visitor status, I suggest that she returns to India instead. After that, do wait for a few months before you apply for another TRV or a super visa. This will help to prove that she has re-established her home country ties
Thnx for reply bryanna, yes u right bryanna we got visa after three times refusals! What if i apply for humantarian grounds pr for her. There is nobody in backhome and can not take care of her. If yes, is there any income requirement for pr on humantarian grounds.Reply pls
As Bryanna noted, you can certainly ask for an extension, but I would be cautious. Given she received a single entry TRV after so many refusals, I would expect IRCC has noted this possibility on her file. Think of this first TRV as a test to confirm if the visit was in fact short term. I would expect a refusal, particularly asking for 2 additional years and with both her children in Canada. And I suspect that a visa after a refusal will be highly unlikely, be it a TRV or a Supervisa. Better to send her home, wait a few months and apply again......show them her being here is not permanent.
