I know this questions has been asked before but I am still confused my situation is -
I wanna go for a 10 day trip to either Cuba or Florida in the end of the December, I am on my BOWP valid till Oct 2016, I have no TRV and nor I am planning to apply and I am from Non-Exempt visa country, Can I travel to Cuba and returning Canada via USA or Can I only travel to USA and re-enter Canada without TRV.

You can travel to the USA only and request to be admitted under your expired TRV and a CBSA officer will assess if you qualify for transit. There is no guarantee that you will be allowed in again, but it is also true almost everyone gets accepted as long as they comply with the rules:
◦you will only visit the U.S. or St. Pierre and Miquelon; and
◦you will return to Canada before the end of your approved stay in Canada.
