I’ll answer your second question first. No, traveling a few months after getting the visa is no big deal.
Since this is your first time traveling, and you’re presumably young, be prerpared to answer a few questions about the purpose of your visit, how long you’ll be staying, etc. The border officers will want to make sure you’re a genuine tourist.
That being said, there’s nothing to be too worried about. Tens of thousands of people come to Canada every week and the vast majority are asked a few quick questions and then welcomed in.
