Dear forum members,
I am employed in Pakistan International Airlines as aircraft engineer.
Myself, spouse and 2 months old baby currently hold valid USA visa.
I had been traveling to USA since childhood and never been refused USA visa ever, although my wife got USA visa first time after our marriage and we have not traveled to USA yet, together as a family.
I have not applied for Canadian visa ever, so my wife's cousin lives there and she invited us for summer holidays to attend her daughter's birthday. I prepared application and submitted following supporting documents:
1. Letter from my employer (Pakistan International Airlines)
2. 6 Months bank statement holding approx $6000
3. 6 months payslips
4.Airline Employee card, employer's family IDs
5. Invitation letter from wife's cousin, her bank statement, tax returns, Canadian PR card copy, her husband's Canadian passport copy, her daughter's Canadian birth certificate and husband's stores letters.
6.My travel history is strong as I have traveled to USA thrice in past 10 years along with Malaysia, KSA, Qatar.
7. My wife traveled to Malaysia, Hong Kong, UAE, Thailand in past 10 years.
8. We showed our stay for 20 days for the month of June'2018.

I applied in march'2018 and after 20 days we received our passports with refusal, main reasons stated are that we didn't show strong ties to our country of residence, insufficient funds and intentions to stay in Canada.

What options do I have as I have secured job in Pakistan, I already showed them my employer's letter and my healthy bank statement?
Can I appeal on this decision for a review?

Please suggest a suitable option and I can provide precise information if someone wants to share inputs.

Thank You!

There is no appeal for a TRV. It’s not an option. IMO, your funds for 3 people for 3 weeks plus airfare are extremely low. $6K is probably just enough to cover airfare. Your hosts financials really are irrelevant to your application, as there is no legal requirements for them to pay for anything. IRCC also doesn’t find birthday, anniversary, etc celebrations adequate reasons for travel.

As I work in airline, so I have rebated tickets which costs as low as $500/person.
I didn't mention this or should I have made the tickets to support my application?

Your funds are still low. The expectation is about $1 K/wk plus accommodations. So even with cheap airfare, you are nearing you total bank balance. The other issue with your whole family travelling, is your ties to Pakistan are nearly nonexistent. Unless you can show stronger ties to Pakistan, I suspect you would receive another refusal if you reapply.

Ok thanks for your suggestion.
What are the clues to show strong ties with the country of residence?
Also how to convince Visa officer that we will return after completing our visit?

My first suggestion would be leave one person off the application. You would also need to show a good reason to return to Pakistan (property, elderly parents, work commitments, school, etc.). I think if you applied alone, you would possibly be more successful given you travel history. You’re wife’s travel history doesn’t count for much. None of those countries have significant visa requirements.

In that case, you will have to mention that in the explanation letter. You could also include non confirmed tickets if you want to.
