Hi everyone, I applied for a canadian visit visa from Abu Dhabi, I have a valid US visa. Will it anyhow help expedite the application as the processing time shown on the portal is 178 days? I appreciate your response if you recently went through the process.

When did you apply? You will only know if approved through CAN+ if you get your permit before 178 days. IRCC will decide whether to process as CAN+.

Applied on 2nd march. biometric submitted on 4th march. eligibility completed. Background check-in process. How do i know if the application is approved for CAN+ or not ?

If you get it processed within a month. There is no note saying processed as CAN+.

Currently visa processing time for UAE is 184 days. You have to wait for few months to 6 months to get a decision. In practice, There is no exception for CAN+ in terms of processing time and outcome of the application.

I received PPR today. Guys, there is a CAN+ category. I got PPR within 15 days.

Even if you applied from UAE, the processing center could be different. Check your BVL letter, the processing center will be mentioned at the end.
I think you are from India, FYI, india regular processing time is 23 days. so its not CAN+ which got you the PPR in 15 days, its the regular processing time of your country of processing.
