Hello,

Wr are in Toronto from last 3 years on PR. Now I’m 7 months and my due is on May 23. I’m planning to apply for visit visa for my sister and family of 3 (with husband and kid 3 yrs). So can I mention that i need support here whien I’m applying? She is not working in India and her husband is working. As of now we have the below docs-

1. My payslips and bank statement (67250$ per annum), T4 of last year. We r family of 3 with my husband and 4 year old kid
2. My brother-in-laws offer letter, payslips and bank statement, form 16
3. We own a condo here- property tax document
4. My sister family passport copies and my passport copies as aproof of we belong to same family
5. Travel itenary from May 1 to June 30

Apart from the above, i have detailed invitation letter, my sister marriage certificate etc

My main concern is as she is not working and only her hisband is working, is that okay for visa? ( in my brother-in laws bank statements we are showing 5 lakhs INR)
Also, stay of 2 months okay? Based on my financial proofs mentioned in line 1?

Please review and let me know ASAP

Hi,

Sorry to say this..... based on your post, the chances of TRV refusals are pretty high for all of them.

Here's why:
Wr are in Toronto from last 3 years on PR. Now I’m 7 months and my due is on May 23. I’m planning to apply for visit visa for my sister and family of 3 (with husband and kid 3 yrs).
Red flag # 1:
Your sister is visiting with her husband and her child = Their family ties will be zero to India.

So can I mention that i need support here whien I’m applying?
Red flag # 2:
Your sister is visiting to "support you and your baby" = Working illegally on a TRV

She is not working in India and her husband is working.
Red flag #3:
She is not employed = No finances of her own (although this can be sorted out if her husband pays for her visit) + No real ties to India

1. My payslips and bank statement (67250$ per annum), T4 of last year. We r family of 3 with my husband and 4 year old kid
Your finances + your condo, etc are secondary and don't help. It is your sister who must prove she has reasons to return to India.

5. Travel itenary from May 1 to June 30
Red flag # 4:
Very long visit = Weak ties to India + working illegally (taking care of you and your baby)
Also, it means your brother-in-law does not have strong employment ties in India

My main concern is as she is not working and only her hisband is working, is that okay for visa?
IMO, it's not okay.

If your sister wants to improve her chances of approval, she must apply alone without her child and her husband.

1. Has she traveled to other countries?

2. Does she own property or land? Or have a lease in her name?

3. Does she have a joint bank account with your brother-in-law? Any financial investments?

4. In which month would her child start schooling? And, has the child been admitted to school/paid the admission and tuition fees?

5. Does she live with any dependent family members? For example, her in-laws?

Thanks for getting back!!!

For ques 1: She never traveled to any other countries till now
For ques2: She doesn't have any property or land on her name. But she has some good amount of money as FD in the bank. Would it work as a proof?
For ques3: No.
For ques 4&5: The kid started schooling last year and we can produce the admission letter, proof of paying etc., And they are living with their in-laws (not sure about what proof we could show for this?)

She worked as a teacher in one of the schools till Dec last year and planning to start again from July this year (summer holidays from May to July 01). So, can I ask her to get that appointment letter before hand to submit as a proof that she is going to join again? would it work?

Your advice is highly appreciated. Thank you
