My niece is getting married to a Canadian citizen Indian origin, same caste subsect, etc.,) in India in June,2014. Subsequently they would apply for the PR for my niece, through the Family Sponsor " route. While the PR application is being processed, can my niece visit Canada with her husband on either a tourist visa or any temporary visa for say 4 to 6 months and come back to India and wait for the PR,which can take anywhere between 6 to 14 months? Is there any risk involved? If no, should this visa also be sponsored by her Canadian citizen husband? Is there any dependent visa like the H-4B visa in USA?
As for travelling from India i don't know the answer. Is India visit exempt? If so as long as you shows intent to go back to her country cbsa won't have a problem at the boarder.( Return ticket is the key) Now saying that once she arrives and gets through and they don't stamp her passport for a date to return to India she will be able to renew her visitors status here in Canada and wait here for her P.R.
If India is a non visa exempt country then she may have difficulties coming in as a tourist. Will have to wait for a more experience forum member to answer that one.

Hi I applied for TRV recently pending spousal sponsorship application and tracking VFS Canada Application Centre today shows status as below:
Your Decision has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, Singapore to the Canada Visa Application Centre DHAKA
My question is what does it mean? Is it kind of negative decision? I think package will arrive from Singapore VO next week. Any idea?
