Visa Valid or Not?

I have a valid S1 visa till September 30, 2024. I got a personal emergency and came to India. But I have already applied for a new TRV as I have got my work permit. As I came to know that I could use the student trv for my travel I raised a webform for cancelling the the newly applied TRV. Still my application approved and I received a PPR yesterday. I will be leaving to Canada tomorrow. Can I use the S1 visa for my travel or the PPR make my old TRV invalid.

If you have a PPR, then most likely your S1 visa is invalid. It's very risky.

I have called IRCC and they mentioned that as my TRV is valid till sept, I could use it for my travel.

If you have Valid TRV you can travel . Doesn’t matter under which category your TRV is .

IRCC call agents are not very competent and reliable quite often.
