I am applying for my study permit and want to accompany my spouse and 2 years old boy.
what type of visa should i select for them? For spouse i guess open work permit and for boy is it visit visa other type?
in the family supporting document section there is section for purpose of travel, what document do i need to upload?
and in my son's section there is document requirement named Custodianship Declaration (IMM5646) (required) - as he is my own son do i need to upload it?

Really depends on the degree you are doing. For advanced degrees like masters and PhDs I don’t think it would impact. If other degrees I would suggest applying for study permit first.

Sorry Canuck I'm not clear. Are you suggesting that i should apply for my study permit first or you r suggesting that my 7 and 9 yrs kids should apply for study permit first along with me?

What should I select visa type for dependent children, Visitor or study (ages b/w 5y-10y)? If I select study then what will I upload in the LOA requirement tabs?
