My dad's application for Canada Visitor Visa finally got granted after taking 35 days but travel date to US is only four days from now. when called VFS they cant give assurance as to whether the High Commission will release the passport before travel date. My question is, though his visa got granted in India, can we get it stamped in VAC office Washington DC. I have mailed the high commission here in Delhi, India but if there's anyone who has gone through the same thing, it'd be really helpful. Thanks
Yes the visa can be stamped anywhere in the world just include the approval letter with the evidence of the visa fees and submit it at the application centre in USA.
Update:
We went to High Commission office in Delhi, and got it stamped then and there. Mailing them didn't help, they are not responsive to queries so its better to go directly to them. They were very nice and understanding of the situation.
