Hi...
I have got PR & landed in Canada.... I have stayed here for 6 weeks & going back to India for 10 days & we have return tickets for me & my family (they will land in this visit).
I have not got PR card yet & could not get more info about when to get....
I am planning to apply for visitor visa the moment I reach back India, are there any rule(s) which can prevent me to get visitor visa in this situation...
(I have my Landed document & SIN).... is it possible to have visitor visa for PR person????
Regards...

I feel, it is difficult to give answer. Cause it looks like to be a riddle than a question. Read more than 10 times but could not figure out anything. As of now i give up, will try to figure out tomorrow morning.

1. No, as PR they won't issue a visitor visa.
2. You will have to apply for a Travel Document at New Delhi to return to Canada. The application is here: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/pr_return-retour_rp.aspx?lang=eng&view=d#Travel_Doc

Thanks for trying to help me... I meant I have landed in Canada and still waiting for PR card.
But I have booked my ticket to India, and also return ticket from India to Canada.
Since I have not received my PR card, I won't be allowed to come to Canada, so I was looking for my options.

Guys,
I have extended my ticket from Canada to India from 15th to 30th of this month.
Although my return ticket from India to Canada is on 4th Aug, which I have not changed yet (thinking to change it to 12th of Aug).
But still no news about my PR card. On contacting CIC for status of my card, representative simply says - "I would get it after 7th Aug" - 7th Aug is
45th Working day from my landing....
Can someone confirm if there is any possibility of getting PR card before above date.
I mean 45 working days is minimum waiting period or someone can get even before ending 45 Working days...
Please comment.
Thank you.
Regards.

Hi,
PMM is correct...since you already have PR STATUS , a visitor visa will not be issued.
Check the link below for the processing time for New PRs...its
45 business days
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp
The card usually arrives within this time period.
